Yummiest Cookies!!!

Just thought I'd share my favorite go to cookie recipe!!! It's super easy and anyone I've ever met has LOVED them!!! Plus, they are super versatile! Just throw in whatever you have on hand (candy wise), for the ones pictured I had one third of a bag of milk chocolate and peanut butter chips plus some Reese's I 'needed' to use up. My favorite add ins are mini chocolate chips and mini m&m's!

Chocolate Chip Cookies
2/3 cup butter
2/3 cup shortening (I use crisco cubes)
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
(Cream together)
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
(Cream again)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
3 cups flour
(Mix well)
12 oz Chocolate Chips (I normally only add half a bag)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees, then follow directions above.
Once you have the chips or candy mixed in, scoop onto cookie sheet. I use the small pampered chef scoop (LOVE IT - I totally recommend it to anyone and everyone). Bake for 8 minutes, then let sit on baking sheet for about 5 minutes so it can finish cooking out of the oven. Yep, that may sound crazy but I promise you it's not! They are perfect if you do this!

Not sure if you can tell but you pull then out when there is just a hint of light brown on the edge. The perfect cookie is all about not over cooking them! Make sure you pull them out if any one cookie of the pan has a slight light brown spot.

Lastly, these freeze great! I normally shove a bunch in a ziplock bag as soon as they're cool so I don't eat them all! Enjoy!

Craft show!

Had such a fun day with my super crafty sister in law and my wonderful sister at the craft fair I've been prepping for all week! Less than 5 hours of sleep last night and up till 1 the night before, plus crafting off and on all week turned into a gorgeous display!!! On the upside to not selling as much at the show I listed all of my extra signs on my Facebook page! I'll be listing them on etsy this week too! Hopefully they'll all go to wonderful homes that can enjoy their cuteness!
Yes, I'm talking about my signs not an animal ;-)

Plus I had my two adorable nieces that got to come have fun, what kid doesn't love face painting, a jumping castle, balloon animals and some cute girly hair bows that they bought from another vendor. Hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday!!'

Seasonal Blocks!

I had someone request some seasonal rotating blocks based off of some rotating holiday blacks I made last fall. What do you think!? I think they turned out pretty darn cute! Excuse the messy surface! I'm in the middle of making several signs for a big craft fair Saturday, eek! Can't believe I have one day left to get ready...so much to do! At least my little princess went to bed early, the hubby took the boys on a camp out for the next 2 days (huge help) and I have a couple redbox DVDs to keep me busy while creating away!!! Thanks for looking!!!

A Poem for Mom...

I had a friend that asked me to create a sign for her wonderful mother a few weeks ago. It was a poem that was read at her parents wedding and her mothers birthday is next week.
So yesterday she came over and we finished it up. I think it turned out amazing, what a sweet gift!!!
